I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone."

"I
honestly can't convey what a
truly wonderful and exciting
experience it is to labor
and birth at home. When we
first started interviewing
midwives, I knew I wanted
someone that not only I
could connect with, but
someone my husband would
like as well. (The first
midwife we interviewed
didn't even introduce
herself to him.)
We wanted someone who would speak to us like the educated people we are, but who wouldn't burden us with "what ifs". Both my husband and I were amazed when we first met Mary. She radiated such a calm and happy feeling. She was glad to speak with us and happy to answer questions, often spending close to two hours with us for each prenatal visit. She reassured us when we had concerns and made us both feel confident and sure of the decisions we were making. Throughout my entire pregnancy I felt very well cared for.
My home birth couldn't have gone better. Again, Mary was our pillar of strength and our guide. It was a blessing for my husband and I to know that we had someone so knowledgeable to guide us through and reassure us. Thank you, Mary, for all the love and kindness you showed us during this special moment in our lives."

is such a nurturing and
highly knowledgeable midwife
who truly does let your
voice guide her care. Mary
is giving women the
opportunity to have a

"Mary is a gift to pregnant women and their families. She is grace, compassion, and unconditional love. During one of the most transformational times in a woman's life she guides, cares and empowers her through the journey of motherhood. She enables the woman to connect with her intuition about the needs of her body and her developing child by listening deeply to her and then encouraging her with words of wisdom and understanding.
During a time that is full of unknowns and what if's, she creates an experience that is filled with harmony, joy and peace. What she brings into the miracle of motherhood redefines the standard that should be set.
Thank you and forever grateful"

"I
had a home birth with
midwife Mary Langlois and
loved her. She was my doula
for my son's birth in a
hospital and helped me have
a natural birth in an
extremely medically oriented
hospital.
When I
became pregnant with my
daughter I knew that I
wanted a home birth and
asked Mary to be my midwife.
Her care prenatal, during
labor/ birth and postpartum
was amazing.
She works from the
assumption that women know
their own bodies and that
having decided on a home
birth you have come to an
educated decision about
birth and your options. At
all times she gave me
confidence in my decision
and my ability as a woman to
birth naturally.
Mary
viewed my pregnancy not as a
medical condition but a
natural process involving my
whole self, body, mind and
heart. I felt very well
looked after, much more so
than I had with an OB during
my first pregnancy. She
also had a wealth of
information resources
available when I had any
questions, giving her input,
that of others if I asked.
Her presence at the birth
was loving, reassuring and
confidence building. When I
expressed fear she helped my
work out why and work
through it. She gave my
husband the confidence to
lovingly support me letting
him be my main help where he
wanted to be it. My three
year old son was in and out
and curious as only a three
year old can be.
I highly recommend a home
birth and would do it again,
with Mary as my midwife. It
was amazing for the whole
family, and so wonderful to
have everyone leave and then
you can go to sleep in your
own bed!"

"I've
had 6 homebirths and
Mary is the best midwife
I have ever had. She
provides excellent
clinical care
complimented by her
caring emotional
support.
The perfect balance of Care Provider and Friend. I felt so comfortable, at ease and confident in Mary's care. I knew I could trust her.
I still had control over the birth experience but knew Mary could step in at any time to offer her expertise should the need arise. Mary encouraged me but let me do what I felt I needed to do. I hope to use Mary's services for any future births."

"If you want someone
that will be there
for you emotionally
and will know
exactly what you're
going through then
Mary is the person
you want on your
birth team.
She is the most knowledgeable and good hearted person you will ever meet. I have known her for many years, she trained me to become a doula.
Her heart over flows with compassion each time she helps a family bring new life into this world. There's nothing more important to her than helping you maintain your ideal birth experience.
She will listen to what's important to you. If you would like to talk to me I am available by phone (602-432-4235) or email."

"Dear Mary,
I
would like to take a
moment to thank you for
being so supportive
during our pregnancy and
for being the guiding
light while Sienna was
being born. Randy and I
will be forever grateful
to you for helping us
create a harmonious,
serene, and safe
experience.
It was not only the greatest thing I have ever done, but the most beautiful…and this in part is due to the loving devotion and strength you shared with us throughout this amazing journey. We always felt comfortable knowing that if a complication was to arise any time during the pregnancy or birth it would be handled competently and appropriately; your knowledge and experience was a constant reassurance.
I am extremely pleased I trusted myself, trusted you, and trusted in the process. There is simply no question in my mind that giving birth is not a medical condition; women’s bodies are physically powerful and miraculous. I am living proof that a 36 year old first time Mom with 2 miscarriages behind her can have the birth experience she wants.
Once again thank you for spoiling me with love, encouragement, optimism, and expert care. All of our needs were not only met but far exceeded our expectations…what a story I have to share with Sienna Rayne!
I really look forward to doing this again someday soon, but in the meantime please stay in touch with us."
Truly,

"We
cannot express
enough our
gratefulness to Mary
for her prenatal,
delivery and
postpartum care
received.
Mary took the time to sit and talk with us at every appointment, meeting our children and other family members, and assuring everyone involved that she was an "expert at normal".
As this was our first homebirth experience, she provided the expertise we needed to entrust her with so much more than just "delivering" our 3rd child. When the time came, she was exactly what she said she would be: knowledgeable and caring while honoring my body.
Mary's homebirth
experience was the
most unifying,
opening and
spiritually
beautiful journey
for our ENTIRE
family."

"The birth experience with Mary the Midwife was beautiful and empowering. I felt safe and loved, and she allowed me to have the birth of which I dreamed. She is very professional and I always felt secure. Mary is such an excellent educator - she always brought new materials to read or view each visit. It is in part due to all the education and video viewing many months before my actual birth that I was free from any space of fear. It was wonderful to be at home - in my own bed, surrounded by people I loved - immediately after the birth.
In addition, she was available months after the birth to answer additional questions. My husband and I enjoyed getting to know her personally as well during the scheduled prenatal visits. She is a rare soul that radiates kindness and caring. I wish Mary could deliver every baby in the world."

"When I got pregnant with Myla, my second daughter, I had no clue it would have been such an incredible birth experience! I was already 34 weeks pregnant, when the idea of labor started haunting me with fear. With Keira, I had dilated to 7 cm at home with the coaching of my husband Kevin in only 5 hours, but, once at the hospital, it had taken me other 8 ½ hours to dilate the 3 missing cm, 3 ½ hours of which, trying to push the baby out!! I had torn pretty bad and for 1 month I had terrible
hemorrhoids and swelling…a nightmare! One morning, I told Kevin, “I want to have this baby at home!” He was absolutely against it, but I said, “It’s just lack of information on our part – let’s interview some midwives and you can ask them any questions you want. Then, we’ll decide what to do!” We interviewed 3 midwives and Mary Langlois was the absolute best! She was not in a hurry, she answered all of our questions and stayed with us until every doubt was gone – and she was so peaceful and relaxing! Kevin agreed to do it at home with her and I was so thrilled!
At 40 weeks, due date passed (my first baby was 1 week early) and I started getting anxious, but Mary reassured me, saying, “The baby’s not ready – relax and don’t think about it! She’ll come at the right time for her. Remember: it’s about her, not about us!” She was right: Myla chose to be born 4 days later! Contractions started getting stronger and steady at 7 pm, right after Keira went to bed. They were 10 minutes apart and I said, “It’s time!”, so I called Mary. She told me to relax and to call her whenever I wanted her there. I put the bassinet together and got it ready for the baby, then I entered the pool in the backyard and floated and relaxed, thanked God for His blessings and talked to Myla, asking her to turn (she was still in a posterior position, and I didn’t want her to come out “sunny-side up” like her sister, after 3 hours of pushing again!). Contractions were 6 minutes apart now. After a shower, they were 4 minutes apart, so Kevin called Mary and filled the birthpool with warm water. I got in it immediately and let the warm water from the hose run along my lower back, still talking to Myla and staying in an all-4 position while breathing through (Mary had given me the excellent book How will I be born? and I applied it “to a tee”). Mary came at 10:30 pm and coached me with her soothing voice, while getting the room ready with her tools and towels and stuff. At 11:15, I felt the baby and said:“Mary! She’s here!!” and she told me:“Just relax and open… Relax and let go…” 8 minutes later, Myla was out!!! She came out facing Mary and my husband (I was kneeling in the birthpool with my arms out, with Mary’s assistant Heather holding my hands – she was a God-sent!) – Myla had decided to turn just before coming out!! When I held her in my arms, I looked at Mary and said, “This is a Dream!” – really, these were my first words!!
Only 4-hour-20-minute labor, no tear, no swelling, a very manageable pain, Mary’s calm coaching voice, my husband’s presence and the absolute comfort of my home made my daughter’s birth what I would define nothing but Perfect! Soon after, big-sister Keira (22 months old) started coughing in the other room, so Kevin went to get her and we all hung out in bed together until 3 am, bonding with little Myla, laughing, talking and…eating! Mary and Heather made omelets, brought orange juice and even prepared an herbal tea for my “swelling”, which wasn’t really a swelling: the day after, I was up and doing stuff around the house, Mary telling me to slow down when she came and checked on me and the baby! I am from Italy and my Mom can’t come here because she has panic attacks on the plane and can’t fly, but, let me tell you: Mary was more than a mother to me in those moments! If I had to rate her midwifery service from 1 to 10, I’d give her an “11”! She’s the coach, the friend, the professional figure you want to give birth with, so that your baby, too, can have a Perfect Birth!"

"Words cannot
express how grateful we
are to have had Mary as
our midwife. As a first
time mother, it was very
important to me that I
have the full experience
of childbirth and allow
my body to lead the
way. Mary understands
birth is a woman's rite
of passage, and she is
there for support
through the process.
ary's expertise and experience helped my labor progress (when medical interventions would have been started) and I was able to birth my 9.12 lb daughter in the water. After the birth I had minor complications and that's when Mary jumped into action! I felt very safe in her skillful hands and thankful that I could concentrate on my beautiful new baby while she attended to me.
Mary exceeded our expectations for a midwife and we will always consider her a treasured friend. Alicyn's birth was the most amazing experience of our lives! Thank you Mary!!"
